Setting up takes about half an hour, most of it in your BIOS. These five steps are the whole thing.
- 1. Check your hardware
- 2. Set up the BIOS

- 4. Turn on Memory Integrity
- 5. Download, redeem, inject
Two things to know before you start
You need an Intel 12th generation processor or newer, and you will be clearing your Secure Boot keys. If your drive is encrypted with BitLocker, suspend it first or have your recovery key to hand.

- System requirements Intel 12th gen or newer, with VT-x, VT-d and VT-rp. How to check each one.
- Enable virtualization in your BIOS Turn on VT-x, VT-d and VT-rp, disable CSM, and leave Secure Boot enabled.
- Clear your Secure Boot keys The step people get stuck on. Secure Boot stays enabled, its key databases get emptied.
- Turn on Memory Integrity Core isolation has to be running before the loader will start.
